hiwave Free WiFi is the sign-in page you're guided to when you connect to free public WiFi at a hiwave location. Its purpose is to verify you're a real visitor and grant you internet access — to do that, it asks you to sign in with a Google, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok account, verify a phone number by SMS, or enter a code given to you by staff on site.
If you choose to sign in with Google, this app requests only your basic Google account name and email address, solely to identify you and grant you WiFi access. It does not request or use any other Google data or permission — no Gmail, no Drive, no contacts, nothing else.
hiwave Free WiFi is provided as a courtesy by hiwave, your local telco. This page and the free WiFi service it covers are separate from hiwave's other telco services.
